Exhibition: Common Ground 2025 – ‘A terrible beauty’

I’m very happy to have two pieces chosen for this year’s Common Ground Exhibition at Birr Theatre & Arts Centre. This is the 18th Annual Common Ground Exhibition hosted by Birr Theatre & Arts Centre, and is an exhibition of work by artists living in the Midlands of Ireland responding to a given theme.

This year’s curator is Trish Taylor Thompson (pictured below in the centre), spoke to this year’s theme – A Terrible Beauty – at the opening yesterday. She explored the breadth of interpretations, quoting from literature, film and nature, which resulted in the diversity of submissions received.

The exhibition runs to the end of January 2026.
