Another Plein Air Painting Season Begins

The coming weekend sees the beginning of the 2025 Plein Air Festivals for me – I love these events!  I feel there’s always a freshness to the work created within the landscape that inspires it, and I’m looking forward to seeing where my easel ends up and what scenes – and weather conditions! – we’re challenged to capture.

My smaller works are painted outdoors, while my larger paintings are made inside the studio, where the canvas is sheltered from the wind.
